Kirchremda is a district of Rudolstadt in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district in Thuringia .

geography

Kirchremda is located on the northeastern edge of the core city of Remda . The hamlet-like place has always been connected to the city. In a northerly direction the corridor of the village climbs steadily up to the hill near Breitenheerda and to the forest around the hamlet of Tännich . East leads to the docked and hilly dump to Heilenberg . Opposite, i.e. to the east, are the city's facilities and agriculture , before you reach Altremda . The location to the traffic routes is also favorable. The state road leads directly past the place.

history

Kirchremda, like the other Remda towns, was first mentioned in a document from 750–770. The Ernst Häußer steam brewery was founded as early as 1603 . It was in operation until 1985. The beer was a trademark of the region. “Hauser beer - I like it!” Was the slogan . The village was probably a kitchen hamlet of the then developing town of Remda. Once and now the place was characterized by agriculture. On March 20, 1957, the village was incorporated.
