Schwarzenshof is a district of the city of Rudolstadt in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district in Thuringia .

The Schwarzenshof is located west of the city of Rudolstadt between the districts southeast of Schaala and northwest of Zeigerheim in the rural area.

history

From 1856, a Vogelherd near the village of Schaala became an agricultural business with catering, which is named Schwarzenshof after its first owner . In 1906 the farm buildings burned down. In 1923 the Methodist Church in Berlin acquired the residential and guest house in order to set up an old people's home, which was inaugurated in 1925. A youth hostel and a holiday home made the property a meeting and educational center.
