The village of Altremda is a district of Rudolstadt in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district in Thuringia .

geography

Altremda is located to the northwest in the direction of Ehrenstein about 1 km from the core town of Remda . In a northerly direction the district rises gradually and then steeper to the Kalmberg, which is lined with forest . The mountain and its surroundings are made of shell limestone , as is the flatter beech mountain to the southwest .
