history
Altremda was first mentioned in documents like the other Remda locations 750-779.
- This was a settlement core that had to be protected, hence the development of a fortified bastion and perhaps the castle as an outpost in Ehrenstein.
- I observed the attack by the American Air Force on April 12, 1945 from Ehrenstein from the forest in the “Sand” area of the farmer Johannes Hedwig because we were bringing farm animals to the pasture in the love valley to be safe.
- Altremda was and is an agricultural place.
- On March 1, 1974, the village was incorporated into the city of Remda.
