Alfred Wolff-Eisner

Alfred Wolff-Eisner (born August 25, 1877 in Berlin , † March 29, 1948 in Berlin) was a German-Jewish physician (bacteriologist and serologist).

Life

Wolff-Eisner studied in Berlin , Kiel and Tübingen , where he received his Dr. med. received his doctorate .

He was an assistant in Berlin city hospitals with Moritz Litten (1845-1907) and Johannes Karl August Eugen Alfred Goldscheider (1858-1935), at the Königsberg Hygiene Institute with Richard Friedrich Johannes Pfeiffer (1858-1945) and at the Berlin University Polyclinic with Hermann Senator .

In 1923 he received his habilitation in internal medicine , and in 1928 he became an associate professor.

His research areas were hematology , immunology , internal medicine , tuberculosis and diseases of hypersensitivity.

In 1947 he published the book About Deficiency Diseases based on observations in the Theresienstadt concentration camp about his experiences as a prisoner.
