Alfredo Alcón

Alfredo Félix Alcón (born March 3, 1930 in Buenos Aires ; † April 11, 2014 there ) was an Argentine theater and film actor. Since his first role in El amor nunca muere (1955), he has appeared in more than 50 films and television series.

Career

Alcón became known for his roles in films directed by Leopoldo Torre Nilsson until his death in 1975: Un guapo del 900 (1960), Martín Fierro (1968), a film adaptation of Martín Fierro  with him in the eponymous lead role , El santo de la espada (1970) about General José de San Martín with him in the leading role, Güemes - la tierra en armas (1971), in which he played the leading role of Martín Miguel de Güemes , La Mafia (1972), Los siete locos (1973), which won a Silver Bear , Boquitas pintadas (1974) and El pibe Cabeza (1975).

Awards

He has received numerous awards for his roles, including the Cóndor de Plata for Best Actor in 1961 for Un guapo del 900 (1960), 1964 for Los inocentes (1963) and 1969 for Martín Fierro (1968) as well as the 2005 career award; the Martín Fierro Prize 2000 for best actor in a miniseries or a television film and a Clarin Entertainment Award for Vulnerables (1999).
