Alfredo Angeli

Alfredo Angeli (born August 7, 1927 in Livorno , † November 25, 2005 in Rome ) was an Italian documentary filmmaker and film director .

Life

Angeli began at the age of 25 as assistant director to Luigi Zampa , and later to Vittorio Cottafavi and Camillo Mastrocinque . At the beginning of the 1960s, he switched to advertising and directed over 3,000 advertising films , many of which received awards. In addition, he made documentaries every now and then and directed two feature films in 1967 and 1976 , which had only moderate success. Finally, he took part in the remarkable multi-director film L'addio a Enrico Berlinguer , before submitting Con rabbia e con amore in 1997 , for which he and his son Christian also wrote the script. A television film and in 2001 his last work for the cinema followed.
