Alfredo Marcucci

Alfredo Marcucci (born September 14, 1929 in Argentina , † June 12, 2010 in Belgium ) was an Argentine bandoneonist , conductor and arranger of the Tango Argentino .

Life

At the age of seven, Alfredo Marcucci began to learn this instrument under the guidance of his uncle Carlos Marcucci , who was a renowned bandoneonist. A short time later, the violinist , composer and conductor Julio de Caro became aware of him and began to teach him. Alfredo Marcucci made his debut in the orchestra of Carlos Marcucci at the age of 15 and then appeared for three years with his uncle in the orchestra of Julio De Caro.

At the age of 26 he joined the Carlos Di Sarlis Orchestra , with whom he was published on numerous recordings. During his life Marcucci u. a. in the orchestras of Raúl Camplun , Eduardo Bianco , Osvaldo Donato , Enrique Maria Francini and Juan Canaro .

At times he was a member of the Los Paraguayos group , with which he performed worldwide.

At the end of the 1970s Alfredo Marcucci settled in Belgium and consciously ended his career as a musician in 1976 to earn a living in a plastics factory . The Belgian folk musicians Dirk van Esbroek and Juan Masondo persuaded him to start playing the bandoneon again for a record with Flemish sung tangos and Argentine folklore. He did this until the end of his life.

In 2004 he founded the Orquesta Típica Alfredo Marcucci and began teaching himself in master classes and workshops .
