Algimantas Gradeckas

Algimantas Gradeckas (born March 3, 1934 in Inkliuzai , Wolost Šimoniai , now Rajongemeinde Kupiškis ) is a Lithuanian forest scientist and professor .

Life

After graduating from secondary school, Gradeckas graduated in forestry engineering in 1958 and then the aspirantur . In 1967 he completed a doctorate on the afforestation on Didelio produktyvumo Eglės želdinių įveisimas Lietuvos TSR miškuose at the Technological Institute in Belarus and 1988 habilitation on Didelio produktyvumo medynų atkūrimo Pietų Pabaltijyje ekologiniai pagrindai on forestry technology -Institut in Moscow . From 1952 to 1960 worked in the forest enterprises ( Leschos ) Šilutė , Kretinga , Neringa . From 1960 he was a research assistant at the Miškų institutas , where he headed the afforestation sector from 1988. From 1994 he taught at the Žemės ūkio akademija , from 1996 at the Lietuvos žemės ūkio universitetas . In 1996 he became a professor .
