Algirdas Matonis

Algirdas Matonis (born November 21, 1960 ) is a Lithuanian lawyer, criminal investigator and police superintendent , head of the Lithuanian Criminal Police Office (2005-2014).

Life

In 1986 he graduated from the Vilniaus valstybinis V. Kapsuko universitetas with a degree in law . From September 1991 he worked as an inspector and from April 1993 as chief inspector of the criminal police in Druskininkai . From April 1999 he worked as a commissioner inspector at the police department at the Ministry of the Interior of Lithuania , from 2000 as a commissioner, from December 2003 head of the subdivision. From 2005 to 2014 he headed the Lithuanian criminal police . From April 2014 he works for the security company Gelsauga .
