Lagundo village
Algund Dorf is a fraction of the municipality of Algund in the Burggrafenamt in South Tyrol ( Italy ).

Algund village is situated at about 300- 350 m above sea level in the northwest of the Merano basin about one kilometer from today Algunder community center. The Algunder Waalweg runs north of the village.
history
Algund Dorf was first mentioned on the occasion of a confirmation of ownership by Pope Alexander III. for Marienberg Monastery from 1178 ( in vico Aligunde ).
The old parish church of St. Hippolyt and Erhard is the center of the village. It was mentioned in the 12th century and is now a listed building. In the vicinity of the church there is a small cemetery and a small fountain with the Jesus cross, which belongs to the Platterhof. The Platterhof is one of the oldest farms in Lagundo. The farm was first mentioned in 1388 in the land register at Schloss Tirol .
