Alice Brandt

Alice Brandt (born September 19, 1911 , † after 1948) was a German actress .

Life

Brandt played the role of Beryl Vendeleure in the German sound film Der Hund von Baskerville from 1937, with whom the newly arrived Lord Henry Baskerville falls in love. Their role had been significantly upgraded compared to the literary model.

She had other roles in Lumpacivagabundus (1936, as Signorina Palpiti, with Paul Hörbiger and Heinz Rühmann , among others ), Der anonyme Brief (1939) and Ein Mann auf Abwegen (1940, main role: Hans Albers ).

In the 1930s, the Cigarette Picture Service Dresden published cigarette pictures with photos by Alice Brandt in the collection series “Colorful Film Pictures” .
