Alice Pickering

Alice Pickering (* 1860 as Alice Simpson , † February 18, 1939 ) was an English tennis player.

Pickering participated in the Wimbledon Championships from 1895 to 1901 . In 1896 , she won the All-Comers final against Edith Austin , but lost to defending champion Charlotte Cooper 2-6 and 3-6 in the Challenge Round . In the following year she managed to get into the All-Comers final again, but there she lost to Blanche Bingley-Hillyard .

In 1896 she won the double competition at the Irish Championships on the side of Ruth Durlacher .
