Alicja Sakaguchi

Alicja Sakaguchi (* 1954 in Szczecin ) is a Polish linguist .

She studied Hungarian and Esperantology at the University of Budapest (Magistra) and received her doctorate in 1981. From 1981 to 1985 she was a lecturer in Paderborn, from 1986 to 1998 in Frankfurt. The habilitation took place in 2000 with a standard work on interlinguistics . From 2001 to 2002 she was an adjunct at the New Philology Faculty of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (UAM), where she has been a professor since 2003 and teaches interlinguistics, Esperanto , German and intercultural communication .

Sakaguchi is married to the Japanese Takashi Sakaguchi and has two sons.
