Alienare is a German synth pop and dark wave band from Hamburg and Hanover , which was founded in 2014 and belongs to the black scene .

history

After his band Sky Turned Dark broke up , singer T. Green decided to continue musically on a solo path and founded Alienare. With the project there were various shows supporting bands such as Tyske Ludder , Ost + Front and Lost Area , as well as in Austria. Since the end of 2016 he has been accompanied on stage by T. Imo as a permanent member of the band.

The debut single Mission Abort was released in September 2016, and the single Providence , which followed in 2017 , entered the top 10 of the German Electronic Webcharts. The album Beyond Love followed with subsequent tours as support from Essence of Mind and Eisfabrik, before the second album AtelophobiA was released and the band toured with Stoneman and Blutengel .

In 2019 the album Neverland entered the German album charts at number 93 . After the album is released, there will be a headlining tour with concerts in Germany, Switzerland and Belgium.

style

Alienare describes their style of music as a mixture of modern dark wave and synthpop . In some cases, however, other styles of music such as EBM (Pain) or Rock (Area 51) are also incorporated. Lyrically, singer and songwriter T. Green deals with a wide variety of topics. The first album, Beyond Love, is a colorful mix and deals with various topics, such as love (Forever, All That's Left), pain (Pain), but also social criticism (Area 51, Move, The Whole World), while the following albums were both concept albums. AtelophobiA treats atelophobia - the fear of never being able to be good enough and in Neverland everything revolves around the search for one's own satisfaction. The single Human , which was extracted from it, featured a song in German for the first time with the newly texted version Mensch .
