Essence of Mind
Essence of Mind is a Norwegian electro rock - band , which was founded in the spring of 2006. She draws on elements of the electro genre and also experiments with different musical styles. The music is partly inspired by styles like Nu Metal , Industrial , Drum 'n' Bass , EDM and Dubstep . Essence of Mind is under contract with the Belgian record label Alfa-Matrix .
Band history
In spring 2006 Erlend Eilertsen and Kyrre Goksøyr founded the band Essence of Mind. The debut album Insurrection was released in May 2008. Even before the second album , Kyrre decided to leave the band for professional reasons. However, the song "Broken" on the Try and Fail album was created with his participation.
Essence of Mind has already performed numerous live performances in Europe . In 2009, she went as a support act with the Norwegian synth-rock band Zeromancer to the Sinners International Tour 2009 and supported Apoptygma Berzerk at a concert in Norway Horten. In February 2014 they had the opportunity to support Apoptygma Berzerk as the opening act for three concerts in Germany . From April 28th to May 7th 2017 the band went on their first tour in Germany "Beyond Love - After the Break Up - Tour". Together with her support act Alienare, she performed in eight German cities.
They were also able to gain experience at music festivals . In autumn 2009 they entered the recession Festival in Danish Aarhus on. Essence of Mind played three times at Elektrostat, Norway's largest festival for alternative electronic music . Her first appearance was in 2007 and was followed by two appearances in 2010 (May 16 and October 2). On July 19, 2015 we went to the Castle Party Festival in Bolków in Poland . In 2016, EOM presented itself on August 13th and 14th at the Swedish subcult festival (in Trollhättan ) and the M'era Luna Festival in Hildesheim, Germany . For October 2016 they were in the line-up of the Autumn Moon Festival in Hameln .
The two music magazines Sonic Seducer and Zillo already dealt with Essence of Mind and included it on their insert CDs.
The album Try and Fail made it into the top 10 of the DAC ( German Alternative Charts ) for eight weeks in a row .
