Alina Atlantis (* 1966 in Cottbus as Alina Wollert ) is a German artist specializing in painting .

Life

Alina Atlantis grew up in Mecklenburg and East Berlin. From an early age it was her goal to become an artist. She was included in the support program for the gifted. At the age of 14 she completed her basic artistic training in the House of Young Talents in East Berlin, at 16 she was admitted to evening studies at the Berlin Art Academy and at the age of 17 she passed the entrance examination to study painting at the Art Academy in East Berlin, which was granted However, she refused because of "western contacts".

In 1990 she studied political science at the Technical University of Berlin , then free art at the Berlin University of the Arts and at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art in Halle with Helmut Brade and Eva Natus-Salamoun.

Her artistic work focuses on paintings made of oil tempera and oil pastels, which are often large-format. With Alina Atlantis, the multiple orange-red background is to be understood as a symbol for an intense life energy. In addition, she develops and interprets guiding visions for companies and institutions, where she also acts as a trainer and moderator of her work.

Alina Atlantis is the mother of three daughters and now lives with the management consultant Bernhard Jörger in Achern .

Theoretical approach

An important basis of the work of Alina Atlantis is the anti-dualism . She explains: “In every woman there is a vamp, a mother, a warlike Amazon, a clever businesswoman and a queen who rules herself. Our greatest freedom lies in our wholeness. We should always try to see and understand the other in his entirety ”.

With the help of her art she makes it possible to show this ambiguity and to overcome it. With her pictures and an open worldview, she develops new, complex works that bring meaning to the inner ambiguity and offer explanations.
