Alina Wojtas (born March 21, 1987 in Nowy Sącz ) is a former Polish handball player who belonged to the squad of the Polish national team.

Career

Alina Wojtas learned to play handball in her hometown at UKS Olimpia Nowy Sącz. The backcourt player then ran for the Polish club AZS-AWFiS Gdańsk. During the 2008-09 season she joined MKS Lublin . With Lublin she won the Polish championship in 2009, 2010, 2013 and 2014 and the Polish Cup in 2010 and 2012. In 2014 she signed a contract with the Norwegian top club Larvik HK . With Larvik, she won the championship in 2015. In April 2015 Wojtas suffered a cruciate ligament injury. She then paused until the end of the 2015/16 season. In 2017 she won the Norwegian championship again. For the 2017/18 season she moved to the Polish club Zagłębie Lubin . She ended her career in February 2018.

Alina Wojtas played 83 international matches for the Polish national team, in which she scored 249 goals. With the Polish selection, she took part in the 2013 World Cup in Serbia . During the tournament she scored 39 goals in nine games.
