Alison Magaya

Alison Manani Magaya (died August 24, 2015 in Geneva ) was a South Sudanese politician and diplomat. Magaya was a member of the National Congress Party before joining the Sudanese People's Liberation Army after the 2010 elections , along with sixty other members of the NCG .

From 2005 to 2010 Magaya held the post of minister in the government of the then autonomous region of South Sudan. After the referendum on the independence of South Sudan in 2011, Magaya was the country's first interior minister. He later became the ambassador of South Sudan in Switzerland .

In the South Sudanese military Magaya held the rank of major general stopped. He was already retired.

He died in Geneva after a brief illness.
