Alissa York (* 1970 in Athabaska , Alberta ) is a Canadian writer.

Life

Alissa York studied English literature at McGill University in Toronto . She published short stories and novels . York's first novel Mercy was published in 2003. The novel Effigy was on the short list of the Scotiabank Giller Prize . She has received several awards, including the Journey Prize, the Bronwen Wallace Award, and the John Hirsch Award. Her works have been translated into French and Dutch. Your short story Clues ( notes ) was 2010 in German translation in the literary magazine Word Mosaic. Journal of literature and art published.

Alissa York lives in Toronto.
