Alive or Dead , alternatively: Alive or Dead - This is your last breath , is an American low-budget horror film with splatter elements from 2008. The second directorial work by director and screenwriter Stephen Goetsch is about a clan of strange characters who lust for human flesh with brute force.
Filming took place in Lake Hughes, California, and cost about $ 200,000.
The uncut SPIO / JK version was released for the first time on May 7th, the no-youth release version on June 4, 2009 in Germany on DVD.

At night, the attractive Maria travels the hinterland of the United States by car. On a lonely, remote street, the young woman discovers an abandoned school bus with "Help Me" written in blood on it. The vehicle immediately piques their interest. After a flat tire, the courageous beauty finally decides to explore the bus. Inside, she is presented with a picture of horror: blood-streaked seats, body parts and the chained and masked young Sarah pleading for help. Before Maria can help the victim, the bus with the two women and a supposedly dead man sets off.
After several hours of driving, the next morning they reach a fortress-like property in the middle of a barren desert area. At the destination, Maria incapacitates the bus driver with the help of an eccentric named Frank - the disfigured man was traveling unconscious on the bus. A little later, Sarah kills the bus driver, her supposed tormentor. The situation relaxes for a moment, until the duo notices that the simple-minded Frank is also hostile to them. Frank is part of a degenerate, cannibalist clan.
From then on, Maria and Sarah fight for bare survival. As a result, both are seriously injured, but with the courage of desperation they wound Frank and kill his moronic son. Ultimately, the women manage to escape. On the way, they are attacked again by Frank, who murders Maria while Sarah finds refuge in a neighboring building, Frank's home. There it comes to the final showdown. After various fighting, Sarah manages to kill Frank. Before that, she frees a pregnant woman who is somehow in the care of the nerd. At the end of the film, the pregnant woman commits suicide , and Sarah marches on foot from the bloody scene.
