Paul Koslo

Paul Koslo (born June 27, 1944 as Manfred Koslowski , † January 9, 2019 in Lake Hughes , California ) was a German-Canadian actor .

Life

As a native German, he emigrated with his family to Canada after the Second World War . His father was a professional soldier in the Wehrmacht . In Montreal he attended the National Theater School . In the course of his career, Koslo mainly played dodgy and somewhat shabby characters in supporting roles. His better-known film roles included Dutch in The Omega Man (1971) alongside Charlton Heston, and Mayor in the western epic Heaven's Gate (1980). He also took on numerous guest roles in US television series. His work includes more than 100 productions. He last appeared as an actor in 2004.

In addition to his film and television roles, Koslo was one of the founders of The MET Theater in Hollywood in 1974 and was long a director. He had been married to his colleague Allaire Paterson-Koslo since 1997, and the couple had a daughter. On January 9, 2019, at the age of 74, he died of cancer in Lake Hughes.
