Aliz Mosonyi

Aliz Mosonyi (born February 19, 1944 in Keszthely ) is a Hungarian writer.

Life

Aliz Mosonyi studied music. She published her first volume of poetry in 1973. She works as a dramaturge and freelance writer. Mosonyi translated poems by Andreas Reimann in 1981 , Emil and the Detectives in 1986, and in 2007 translated some of Grimm's fairy tales into Hungarian. Mosonyi was awarded the Déry-díj in 1998 and the IBBY-életmű-díj in 2009.

In 2016, Mosonyi joined the public protest against the award of the anti-Semitic publicist Zsolt Bayer by the Orban government .
