Alkanna sieberi is a species of the genus Alkanna .

features

Alkanna sieberi is a perennial stem hemicryptophyte that reaches heights of 5 to 15 centimeters. The basal sheets are 30 to 40 millimeters in size. The crown is pale yellow and later turns blue. The corolla tube is about twice as long as the chalice. The hem has a diameter of about 4 millimeters. The calyx is glandless. The bracts are about as long as the calyx.

The flowering period extends from March to May.

Occurrence

Alkanna sieberi is endemic to Crete . The species grows on dry phrygana , in stony pine forests, on sandy coasts and on fallow land at altitudes of 0 to 330 meters.
