The Allée couverte des Meurtiaux (also called Allée couverte de l'Épine , Table Margot or La Roche-aux-Fées ) is a gallery tomb . It is north of Le Gouray near Saint-Brieuc in the east of the Côtes-d'Armor department in Brittany in France .

Gallery tomb scheme

The north-west-south-east oriented, rectangular gallery grave is about 10.5 m long and 1.4 m wide. It has only one chamber, which is delimited by eleven orthostats with four cap stones. All slabs are made of granite . The largest plate shows traces of a prepared blast. The monument was partially dismantled to repurpose stones.

Menhirs of Saint-Mirel

The three menhirs of Saint-Mirel, classified as Monument historique since 1963, are located near a chapel southwest of Plénée-Jugon . The menhirs consist of a pair of menhirs and the menhir La Pierre Longue. The menhirs were erected on a south-eastern slope in the Arguenon Valley.

  • Menhir No. 1 is made of granite. It is 3.85 m high, 2.15 m wide and 1.75 m thick.
  • Menhir No. 2 is about 3.50 m south (2.5 m long, 2.2 m wide, 0.8 m thick).
  • Menhir No. 3 (La Pierre Longue), lies southeast of the two. It is 4.45 m high and between 2.30 m and 2.65 m wide. Blocks in the immediate vicinity were interpreted as the remains of a cromlech in the 19th century .

The Allée couverte de La Roche aux Fées de la Brousse is located south of Plénée-Jugon.
