Allée couverte by La Roche Couverte

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The northeast-southwest oriented Allée couverte from La Roche Couverte is located on the Rue de la Roche Couverte, southwest of Hénanbihen ( Breton Henant-Bihan - German  "quiet valley" ) near Lamballe in the Côtes-d'Armor department in Brittany in France .

About 30 blocks of quartzite and diabase represent the remains of a gallery grave. It was 16.3 meters long and 1.8 meters wide and has been examined several times since the 19th century.

There was another gallery tomb in the parish that was destroyed. The Dolmen of Hénanbihen and the Calvary of Plouagat were moved to Pilckem in Belgium , where Bretons are buried, who died in the first gas attack during the First World War.

In Hénansal, nearby, is the Allée couverte by Ville Bellanger .
