Lothar Wagner (born April 25, 1941 in Laubusch , today in Lauta ) is a former German football player in the storm . He played for BSG Stahl Eisenhüttenstadt in the GDR league .

Career

Wagner went through the youth team at his home club BSG activist Laubusch . In 1963 he moved to SC Cottbus . There he made his debut in the second-rate GDR league on January 26, 1964 in a 1-1 draw against BSG Stahl Eisenhüttenstadt. This season he was used two more times. In the following season Wagner completed 25 games in which he scored an impressive nine goals. He was also successful in the 1965/66 season. He scored eleven goals in 23 games. In 1966 he moved to BSG Stahl Eisenhüttenstadt. In the 1969/70 Oberliga season , Wagner was used in 23 of 26 games, but only scored twice. He made his debut on matchday 1 when he was in the starting XI on August 23, 1969 in the 0-1 defeat against BSG Chemie Leipzig ; in the 74th minute, Gerhard Waidhas came on for him. On the 9th matchday he received a red card against 1. FC Magdeburg ; Stahl Eisenhüttenstadt lost the game 2-1. On November 15, 1969 (13th matchday) Wagner scored his first goal in the league. After a 3-0 deficit against BFC Dynamo , he scored in the 73rd minute to make it 3-1. On the following day he scored his second league goal. In 1972 Wagner moved back home to join BSG activist Laubusch before ending his career in 1974.
