Allée couverte from Loch Korrigan
The Allée couverte of Loch Korrigan (also called Dolmen von Loch Korrigan ) is located southwest of Melgven ( Breton Mêlwenn ), east of Concarneau in the Finistère department in Brittany in France . The eponymous Korrigans are fairies or dwarfish ghost figures from Celtic mythology in Brittany.
The dolmen, which is closed on three sides, is not an allée couverte . It has a round ceiling slab protruding on all sides and a lower stone in front of the entrance. In France, dolmen is the generic term for Neolithic megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).
Nearby is the Cosquer dolmen (Melgven) .
