All Ends is a metal band from Gothenburg , Sweden , formed in 2003 . The general style of music can be described as alternative metal , with a very striking feature being the use of two female singers.

history

The band was founded in 2003 as a side project of the in-flames guitarists Björn Gelotte and Jesper Strömblad , who are no longer involved in All Ends .

In the line-up, consisting of Gelotte and Strömblad on guitars , Emma Gelotte and Tinna Karlsdotter as singers , and Joseph Skansås on drums , the band recorded a demo with five songs, which was produced by Fredrik Nordström and Patrick J. Sten.

In the spring of 2005, Gelotte and Strömblad left the band as active musicians, and Michael Håkansson on bass and Fredrik Johansson on guitar took their place. In August 2005 Peter Mårdklint took over the role of second guitarist.

In 2006 the group signed a recording deal with the music label Gun Records . In May 2007 the EP Wasting Life was released, on which the music group in the new line-up re-recorded the songs from the 2005 demo. The song of the same name reached the top ten of the Swedish singles charts. On November 7, 2007, the first, self-titled album was released. A re-release followed in September of that year with several bonus titles.

On December 12th, 2008 the song " Apologize " , which was covered by OneRepublic , was released as the first single . At the end of 2008 they toured together with Mina Harker and Oomph! through Germany , Austria and Switzerland . At the beginning of 2009 the band is already on tour in Germany again, this time as a support band for Edguy .

Emma Gelotte announced on March 16, 2009 that she was leaving the band because she wanted to spend more time with her friends and family. The new singer is the 21-year-old Jonna Sailon (ex.Sailon, jonna sailon), who until then was more of a pop business.

The second studio album A Road to Depression was released on October 22, 2010 via the metal label Nuclear Blast . It contains eleven songs with two additional bonus tracks.
