GUN Records ( GUN stands for Great Unlimited Noises , English for Great boundless noise ) was a sub-label of Sony Music Entertainment . The label was based in Bochum and the company's full name was GUN Records Musikproduktions GmbH.

The musical focus of the label was on rock / metal / punk. The CD compilation Crossing All Over was published at regular intervals . The most successful acts of the label were the German crossover band Guano Apes , the crossover band H-Blockx , the metal band Bullet for My Valentine and the band HIM .

The musical focus of the Supersonic sublab was in the areas of rock / punk / singer / songwriter, so that the focus was not only on one music genre, the artists Donots , The Ark , The Alpine , Pascal Finkenauer , Matisyahu and the Backyard were on this sublabel Babies released.

On February 5, 2009, Sony Music Entertainment announced the immediate closure of its subsidiary GUN.
