Solitary Man Records is a German-Japanese independent label based in Münster and Tokyo , Japan .

history

The music label was founded in Japan in 2006 by Donots singer Ingo Knollmann and the former Donots manager Florian Brauch. After the Donots' record contract with GUN Records ( Sony BMG ) was terminated , Solitary Man Records was also founded in Germany in 2008. Unlike the Japanese offshoot, the label here belongs equally to all Donots band members. In 2006 the first compilation The Solitary Engine was released in Japan.
