Allegro Valley

The Allegro Valley is a steep-walled valley filled with glacial ice in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Usarp Mountains , it is on the east side of the Daniels Range immediately north of the White Spur .

The northern group of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition (1963–1964) encountered good weather conditions here after days of bad weather and named the valley based on the poem L'Allegro (“The cheerful”) by the English poet John Milton (1608–1674) ).
