NGC 5920 is a 13.7 mag bright, lens-shaped galaxy of the Hubble-type S0 in the constellation Snake in the northern sky . It is an estimated 609 million light years from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 200,000 ly. It is the brightest of a small cluster of faint galaxies. a. her neighbor NGC 5919 also belongs.
The object was discovered by Lewis A. Swift on March 30, 1887 .
