NGC 5926 is a 13.8 likes bright spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Serpens the northern sky . It is an estimated 279 million light years from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light years in diameter . In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy IC 1118 .
The object was discovered on June 15, 1884 by Lewis A. Swift .
