NGC 5915 is a 12.3 mag barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBab in the constellation Libra and 100 million light years from the Milky Way.
It interacts with NGC 5916 and was discovered together with it on June 5, 1836 by John Herschel with an 18-inch reflecting telescope, who noted "B, S, R, glbM, 15 arcseconds, the preceding of two".
