NGC 5914 , also known as NGC 5914A , is a 14.4 mag bright spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sb in the constellation Bear Guardian and about 247 million light years from the Milky Way.
Together with the galaxy PGC 54653 (also NGC 5914B or NGC 5914B-1 ) and the four times as distant PGC 2188560 (also NGC 5914B2 or NGC 5914B-2 ), it forms an optical triple galaxy.
The object was discovered on May 16, 1882 by Édouard Stephan .
