NGC 5947 is a bar-spiral galaxy with an active galaxy core of the Hubble type SBbc in the constellation Bear Guardian in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 269 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 95,000 ly. a. the galaxies NGC 5934 , NGC 5935 , NGC 5943 , NGC 5945 .
The object was discovered on June 18, 1884 by Édouard Stephan .
