NGC 5961 is a 13.6 likes bright spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sb in the constellation Corona Borealis in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 87 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 20,000 light-years across.
The object was discovered on June 8, 1880 by Édouard Stephan .
