NGC 5963 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Draco the northern sky . It is an estimated 36 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 30,000 ly. In the same area of the sky lie the galaxies NGC 5965 , NGC 5969 , NGC 5971 , PGC 2544663 .
The object was discovered by William Herschel on May 5, 1788 .
