Everything about wine was a German wine magazine . It was published by Woschek-Verlag in Mainz from 1982 to 2005 .

history

The special-interest magazine with the subtitle magazine for wine culture, travel, gastronomy was founded in 1982 by the Mainz wine expert Heinz-Gert Woschek (* 1937). The author was already known through regular columns in the magazine Essen & Trinken and through a number of wine books. This was preceded in 1981 by his magazine Woscheks Weinreport . He established his new magazine, of which he was initially publisher and editor-in-chief , as one of the leading wine magazines in Europe. It appeared four times a year, the printed edition was 60,000 copies, the number of subscribers 12,000.

In the early 2000s, Woschek retired as a publisher and editor-in-chief, but remained editor. At the beginning of 2004, the former head of the Frankfurter Rundschau, Jochen Siemens, took over editorial responsibility. In 2005, Woschek-Verlag, and with it the magazine title and the book program, went to Bertelsmann as a subsidiary . The last issue of the magazine appeared in October 2005, as Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster bought the title and incorporated it into its wine magazine Vinum . The line Everything about wine was subtitled by Vinum for some time.

content

In addition to the presentation of international wine-growing regions and their winemakers, wine recommendations - related to this - took up a large part of the space. The evaluation is based on a 20 point system (starting with 12 points!). Supplements to the main issue were published regularly, each dedicated to an area of interest or cultivation. The supplementary titles Travel & Enjoy - On the way to classic holiday destinations or German top winemakers and their wine were dedicated to more general topics . The restaurant reviews were written by Armin Diel , among others .
