The Alley Glacier is a glacier in the Australian Antarctic Territory . It drains the northern slopes of the Britannia Range near the Ward Tower and flows north to the Darwin Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it after the American glaciologist Richard Blaine Alley (* 1957) from Pennsylvania State University , who studied the ice flows of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet as part of the United States Antarctic Program .
