The Ward Tower is a striking mountain of 2,760 m altitude in the Australian Antarctic Territory . In the Britannia Range of the Transantarctic Mountains, it rises 5 km east-northeast of Mount Aldrich .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2000 after Edward Michael d'Invilliers Ward (1918-2006), commander of the United States Navy's VX-6 squadron in the first two Deep Freeze operations (1955-1956 and 1956-1957) .
