Allison Moorer
Allison Moorer (born June 21, 1972 ) is an American musician and singer.
Career
Moorer first became known with the song A Soft Place to Fall , which was selected in 1998 for the movie Der Pferdeflüsterer and in early 1999 was nominated for an Oscar as "best song". In 1986, Moorer and her sister witnessed her father killing her mother first and then himself. Shelby Lynne subsequently took care of her sister.
