Allmen is a German film series that was broadcast on Erste . It is based on the book series Allmen by the Swiss author Martin Suter .

The privateer Johann Friedrich von Allmen is a person who knows how to enjoy life, but unfortunately he lacks one talent: dealing with money. Therefore, he gets into a financial crisis, which he tries to master together with his servant Carlos. Among other things, Allmen steals a valuable dragonfly vase from Gallé and goes in search of a missing diamond. Due to his financial problems, he has to give up his stately villa and moves into his summer house with his servant .
