The Allner See is a body of water in the city of Hennef and is located between the Sieg and the A 560 .
It was built between 1984 and 1986 when gravel and sand were needed to build the A 560 . A renaturation phase followed, which lasted until 1990. Since then, the lake has been used as a recreational area for the city and the surrounding district. There is a small lawn for playing and sunbathing at the lake, which can be used between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m., the rest of approx. 85% of the land area may not be used. The Allner See is primarily used for bird protection, it is not approved as a bathing water. It is within the protected landscape area "Siegaue"; most of the adjacent areas belong to the "Siegaue" nature reserve .
