Almedin Hota (born July 22, 1976 in Sarajevo , Yugoslavia ) is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian footballer.
Career
The Bosnian began his career with FK Željezničar Sarajevo , the most important team in his hometown. His next club was NK Olimpik. Via NK Bosna it then went to FK Sarajevo . In 2000, the striker performed his first international position and switched to FC Kärnten . After several mediocre seasons at FC Kärnten, he made it to the Austrian Bundesliga with the Klagenfurt team in the 2000/01 season and surprisingly also won the ÖFB (2-1 after extra time against champions FC Tirol Innsbruck ) and the Supercup (10 : 9 after penalty shootout against FC Tirol Innsbruck). In the summer of 2006 Almedin Hota moved to LASK Linz on a free transfer . In September 2008 it was announced that the Bosnian had signed Admira Wacker Mödling with FC Trenkwalder , but his contract was terminated on October 9, 2009 after a little over a year.
Hota played 21 times in the Bosnian-Herzegovinian national team .
