Almut Mommert

Almut Mommert (born March 25, 1944 in Göttingen ) is a German CDU politician .

Mommert attended secondary school and the higher commercial school, completed the commercial apprenticeship and graduated with the business assistant examination. This was followed by her apprenticeship as an industrial clerk, which she also completed in 1964. She initially worked as an assistant nurse, as a decoration assistant in retail and as a commercial clerk. From 1972 to 1977 she was chairwoman of the works council. She then held the office of state manager at the Ring of Christian Democratic Students in Lower Saxony . In 1981 she was appointed to Berlin , where she supported the CDU social committees as state social secretary. In 1989 she changed to the post of union secretary at the police union , two years later she started as a public relations officer at the DGB vocational training center . She was a member of the ötv union and the German-Turkish association Hür Türk . She is also an honorary member of the Turkish community in Berlin.

Mommert joined the CDU in 1970. For this she sat on the Göttingen city council from 1973 to 1981. In 1992 she moved to the Berlin House of Representatives , where she temporarily served as deputy chairman of her parliamentary group. Most recently she was directly elected in the constituency Spandau 4 and represented her place of residence in Staaken . In 2001 she left parliament.
