Aloísio Teixeira

Aloísio Teixeira ( 1944 - July 23, 2012 in Ipanema , Rio de Janeiro , Brazil ) was a Brazilian economist.

Career

Teixeira graduated from the Faculty of Politics and Economics in Rio de Janeiro in 1978 and obtained a master's degree in economics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in 1983 . In 1993 he received his doctorate from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp). He was adjunct professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and its rector from 2003 to 2011. He also taught at the Instituto de Economia.
