Alois Bauer (politician, 1845)

Alois Bauer (born July 6, 1845 in Podseditz ; † January 3, 1928 there ) was an Austrian landowner and politician .

Life

Bauer grew up in Podseditz and attended grammar school in Prague , which he graduated with the Matura in spring 1865 . He then enrolled at the Charles University in Prague for law. During this time he became a member of the Corps Austria . In 1868 he switched to the University of Graz to study and passed his state examination there. In 1870 he was a trainee lawyer at the district court in Leitmeritz and then a doctoral student in Graz, where he was awarded a doctorate in 1872. iur. received his doctorate . Then he returned to Podseditz and in 1879 took over the management of the family estate there.

In March 1891 he was elected as a member of the House of Representatives (Austria) , where he belonged to the Liberal Party. Bauer was also a member of the Austrian Agricultural and State Railways Council. In 1908 he was elected Vice President of the German section of the State Cultural Council for Bohemia and was last reelected in 1915.
