Alois Lang (politician, 1925)

Alois Lang (born December 23, 1925 in Wallendorf ; † November 11, 2002 ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). Lang was a member of the Burgenland Landtag between 1982 and 1989 .

Lang attended eight classes at the elementary school in Mogersdorf and then worked as a carpenter. He served two months in the Reich Labor Service in 1943 and was then in the Wehrmacht from 1943 to 1945 , where he was taken prisoner of war by the Soviets, from which he was only released in 1947. Lang learned the profession of bricklayer between 1948 and 1950 and passed the journeyman's examination. He then worked as a bricklayer foreman and between 1955 and 1960 as a construction foreman. After completing the three-year building trade school at the Technical College in Bruck an der Mur , he passed the master craftsman's examination in 1959 and started his own business as a building contractor on April 1, 1960. As a result, he acquired the demolition master's license in 1963, passed the master roofer examination in 1968 and the transport operator examination in 1979. He also passed the engineering examination in 1979. In 1981 he was appointed to the Commercial Council.

Lang worked as a city councilor in Jennersdorf from 1977 and represented the SPÖ in the state parliament between October 29, 1982 and January 24, 1989.
