Alois Urban Piscalar
Alois Urban Piscalar SJ (born May 24, 1817 in Stimpfach , † November 7, 1892 in Feldkirch ) was a German Roman Catholic priest and schoolboy .
Life
He studied philosophy and Catholic theology in Tübingen with Johann Adam Möhler . After his ordination in 1840, after further studies, he passed the Württemberg state examination in 1846 and taught at the grammar school in Ellwangen until 1854 . In 1854 he entered the Jesuit order in Gorheim . After founding the Stella Matutina (Jesuit College) in 1856, he mainly taught classical philology, religion and Hebrew there. In addition, he worked for 18 years as prefect of studies and grammar school director , 11 years as economic administrator and 10 years as rector of the entire college.
